A Brief History of Antibacterial

 
          In the 17th century, Antonie Van Leeuw came from Netherlands, who is the first man to observe the existence of bacteria. Over the next 200 years, the death rate of mankind was extremely high due to bacterial infection. Until 1941s, the discovery of penicillin was the unique antidote to save people against bacteria at that period. There is no doubt that this is a world-shaking innovation in the medical history. The thriving golden age of antibiotics is coming. However, in the 1950s and 1960s, there were at most 7 million people died of bacterial infection due to the massive application of antibiotics, although, at the end of the 20th century, the amount of people died for infection relapsed to 20 million due to the increase of drug-resistant bacteria. “Survival of the fittest.” -- It only takes 2-3 years for bacteria to become drug-resistant character, while for scientists, it will take at least 5-10 years or even longer time to develop a new antibiotic.
          
          In 2014, WHO has launched the “Antimicrobial resistance: global report on surveillance”, which declared the coming of the “post-antibiotic era”. The only super weapon in the hands of the human being is to lose its power gradually.
          
          The severe reality and the rapid development of life science and technology, make our relationship between human and bacteria to be reviewed, and a new recognition to be established gradually. There is no doubt that bacteria is an important participant of human’s physiological functions, rather than a thorough destroyer.
         
          It was found in many studies recently that the concomitant bacterial invasion into human body starts with the bacteria colonization on the surface of interventional devices or implants, upon which the bacterial aggregations were built, and then the bacteria produce secretion from which the biofilm evolves. Once an infection source arises, as soon as the biofilm forms, it's overwhelmingly difficult to kill the bacteria wrapped by the biofilm, and human immune system or any medicine will not work on this. This is one of the powerful survival strategies for the natural evolution of bacteria against bad environment.
         
          RYAN antibacterial technology comes forth with the different solutions to decrease the infection risk and reduce the damage of normal tissue. We are not to "rude" to kill the bacteria as a means of confrontation, but to reduce the damage of environment and keep the balance of nature. Don’t give the drug resistant bacteria opportunity to fully dominant in nature. RYAN Med - Zero-released Coating for In-touch anti-bacteria

CleanFab™ - A coating of nano scale can be formed on surface of the substrate
by covalently bonding, which is very difficult to disintegrate from the substrate. The coating had been developed with specific design to have antibacterial groups. 
The CleanFab™ coating simply kill the bacteria in-touch efficiently but no chemicals released to the surrounding, thus to create a healthy and safe micro-environment.
CleanFab™ tech can be used as a dressing layer of antibacterial non-woven (PP, PET, etc.). It also can be used as lining layer of diapers, sanitary
napkin, disposable masks, disposable medical draw sheet, disposable surgical gowns, etc.

RYAN Med - Specific Anti-bacteria--Polymer Solutions

CleanMed™ is a liquid polymer specific anti-bacteria agent which is purposefully designed and artificially synthesized to solve the problems such as antibacterial activity and cytotoxicity. With no color, no odor, no stimulation and containing no antibiotics,CleanMedTM anti-bacteria agent has an efficient antimicrobial activity and a broad-spectrum for both gram- positive and gram-negative bacteria, and most important of all, it has an excellent specificity to exterminate bacteria and no damage to normal cells.
With computer aided molecular structure design and group library screening technology, we made an optimization among thousands of chemical structures and a water soluble polymer having broad spectrum bactericidal effect without toxic to normal cells & tissues. Under extremely low concentrations, this polymer has efficient bactericidal effect on gram-negative/ gram-positive and fungi. CleanMed™ products were determined to be effective, safe and healthy.

By reducing the bacteria deposition on the surface of medical devices, it can inhibit the formation of bacterial biofilm, thus to prevent infection during the process of medical devices implantation or intervention, especially for those long-term indwelled. It is a new antibacterial strategy and mechanism that the technology has an advanced biocompatibility, it will not cause antimicrobial resistance.
CleanSur™ tech is a solution for inhibiting bacteria colonization and anti-biofilm using special composition coated on various surfaces (silicone, latex, PVC, PU, metal) of medical devices which can prevent and/or inhibit bacterial biofilm formation with high biocompatibility. The medical devices with CleanSur™ tech can prevent or inhibit bacterial adhesion and/or bacterial biofilm development on the surface to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAI) remarkably.
